Hi, I’m Janet.

I met Jesus Christ when I was 7 years old and Greg Addison when I was 18. Originally an attorney’s wife, I’ve now been married to the ministry for over 25 years since my hubby surrendered to God’s call to preach. We live in Fort Smith, AR, where we serve at First Baptist Church. When our two kids left home to pursue their dreams, we bought an RV and I became a girl camper! And in case you were wondering, yes it is possible to pull a camper from Arkansas to Seattle and home again without having to back up! I love to read, drink fruity teas, and hike on cool days.

Nudged into journalism by my dad (who always wanted me to be a writer), I have been published in technical and scientific journals, newspapers, and magazines. Being a pastor’s wife created a platform for using my skills to teach women practical ways to apply God’s Truth into real life. I co-authored a women’s Bible study, and I also host a weekly podcast for our church family.

Becoming a ministry wife was not part of my life plan, so I reluctantly embarked on this journey with feelings of inadequacy and apprehension. Over time, the Lord has taught me how to recognize moments of goodness, how to wear the “preacher’s wife” hat that fits me, how not to get lost in my husband’s call, and how to trust Him in seasons of struggle. I’d love to walk alongside you, offer encouragement from God’s Truth for dealing with hard issues, and help you embrace delight in your ministry life.
